WageTally is an iOS app that helps hourly workers track their shifts and calculate their expected gross pay — including overtime, differentials, and role premiums. You enter your shifts and rates, and WageTally does the math so you can compare your expected pay against your actual paycheck and catch any discrepancies.
No. WageTally calculates gross pay only — the total you earn before taxes, deductions, or other withholdings. It does not calculate taxes, net/take-home pay, deductions, or anything related to payroll withholding. You must consult with your employer or a tax professional for tax-related questions.
All your data — shifts, rates, workplaces, differentials, and role premiums — is stored locally on your iPhone only. It is never transmitted to a server, cloud, or third party. Your phone is the only place your data lives. If you delete the app, your data is deleted.
No. WageTally does not collect analytics, track your behavior, display ads, or sell your data to anyone. There are no third-party tracking SDKs in the app. We do not have a business model built on exploiting your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → WageTally → Cancel Subscription. Your access to Pro features will continue through the end of your current billing period. Refunds must be requested directly from Apple.
WageTally calculates weekly overtime based on a threshold you set (default is 40 hours per week). Any hours worked beyond that threshold in a week are classified as overtime. WageTally does not calculate daily overtime. Check your employer's overtime rules to ensure WageTally is configured correctly for your situation.
WageTally shows you the difference between your expected gross pay and your actual paycheck. If there is a significant difference, it may indicate an error — either in WageTally (if your rates are misconfigured) or on your employer's side. WageTally does not provide legal advice or determine whether you were actually underpaid. Always verify with your employer or payroll department before taking any action.
No. WageTally is an iOS app and requires iPhone with iOS 17 or later. It is not available on Android at this time.
WageTally uses weekly overtime only. If your employer calculates daily overtime, state-specific overtime, or uses a different method, WageTally may not match your paycheck exactly. In that case, you will need to manually adjust or verify the difference. Always check with your employer about their specific overtime rules.
